Deposit/Cancellation

20% non-refundable deposit required at time of booking. Balance due 60 days prior to launch and in non-refundable.

Payments are non-refundable unless the trip is cancelled by Burnham Guides. Trip Insurance is highly recommended to cover the cost of your entire trip: Flight plus Burnham Guides trip.

Transportation/Lodging

Arrive the day before launch as all trips leave in the morning. We can recommend lodging and camping options near your launch, but it's up to you to make reservations.

Closest Airport for Lower Keys trips is Key West, where you can get a bus to the launch or rent a car: Keys Transit: select either Lower Keys Pink or Lower Keys Lime routes. If you fly into Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, you can take the Keys Shuttle, Greyhound bus, or rent a car for the 3-4 hour drive. For the KL2KW trip we recommend flying into Miami or Ft. Lauderdale and flying out of Key West. The Keys Shuttle provides door-to-door transportation from the Miami and Ft Lauderdale airports.

What to bring?

We supply sea kayaks, life jackets, paddles, sprayskirt, and all camping and cooking gear. Let us know if you'd like to bring any of your own gear. Click here for the personal gear and clothing list of things you should bring.

Food & Alcohol

All meals & snacks are included. We strive to provide healthy, fresh, and nutritious meals, and to accommodate your dietary preferences and restrictions, be they allergies, vegetarian or gluten-free diets. But we do need to know about these well in advance for provisioning. As soon as a trip is booked, you'll receive a detailed questionnaire to list dietary restrictions and medical issues. Our insurance does not allow us to serve alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own to enjoy in moderation at the end of the paddling day.

We're Green

We practice Leave no Trace camping and along the way you can participate in a beach clean-up, logging hours as a volunteer on the Florida Keys Overseas Paddling Trail.
