Spring through Fall finds us at our "base camp" in Onancock on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Our paddling shop located in the historic SteamBoat Ticket Office at Onancock Wharf is the perfect launch for hourly kayak, SUP or bike rentals. Step off the water and onto the waterfront dining deck of Mallards for drinks, a meal, and live music on the weekends.

An unspoiled peninsula within a few hour’s drive of many major metropolitan areas.

The ESVA is bordered by the Chesapeake Bay on one side, the Atlantic Ocean and Barrier Islands on the other, with dozens of sheltered salt marsh creeks between, offer myriad opportunities for three-season paddling.

Our paddling shop is located in the 1680 harbor town of Onancock, conveniently midway on the peninsula between Cape Charles to the south and Chincoteague to the north.
