Florida Keys Trips

In the Lower Florida Keys, a mass of mangrove islands unreachable by road, spreads out into the Gulf of Mexico. From the pages of our Florida Keys Paddling Atlas, we leave the highway sounds of US 1 behind and delve into a world where fish school through shallow flats and stingrays lay silent at the bottom of turquoise blue channels. Our small group primitive camping trips range from 3 to 5 days.

Key Largo to Key West

Burnham Guides are the only ones guiding this trip in its entirety! Our signature KL2KW is the bucket-list trip of a lifetime, paddling the 120-mile coral island chain to the southernmost point in the Continental U.S.. Includes a rest day midway for laundry, hiking or a snorkel trip to the reef.

Paddle across crystal clear Caribbean-blue waters to a primitive island we’ll have all to ourselves for yoga practice, kayaking, snorkeling, bird-watching and walking the long, deserted beach to to meditate. We'll also do an optional beach clean-up.

Paddle with the AUthors

Bill and Mary Burnham are the only guides offering the full Key Largo to Key West (KL2KW) experience, plus a shorter, unique backcountry experience in the Lower Keys. The Burnhams have spent a decade learning the intricacies of this 100-mile coral island chain, from local tides to Keys character. Everglades, Calusa Blueway and Ten Thousand Island trips also available. Call 305-240-0650 or E-mail to reserve your seat paddling in paradise!
